Install MFA on the KU Leuven Association account

  1. Install KU Leuven Authenticator via your App store.

  1. Go to theĀ Authenticator-registration pageĀ to register your device.

  • You can indicate whether you want to require multifactor authentication on the Central Login for your applications.

For staff members and students for whom the use of multifactor authentication is mandatory, this option will be checked automatically. Starting february 26th 2025 this will be enabled automaticaly by KU Leuven

  1. Add your device.

  • At 'Registered devices' you can add your device(s).

    • Choose 'Add device'

  1. Open the Authenticator-app on your smartphone and scan the QR-code on the screen.

  • Click 'Next'

  1. A PIN code is required to add a new user profile.

  • Click 'Next'

  • Enter your PIN code twice. Your device will now be registered.

  • You can now also set up biometric verification (fingerprint, facial recognition) if desired and available on your device.

Tip: You can register multiple devices (only for personal use, so don't use your partner's mobile phone) (but e.g. smartphone and tablet).
